The D family came down for a wedding in Atlanta, and while they were here, made some time for a portrait session with me! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family in the past, when baby brother was still snuggled in mom’s tummy and waiting to show the world all his magnificence. It was amazing to meet him in person, and to see his adorable big sister living up to her new title. We had a great time at the park, exploring, chatting, collecting rocks, and saying hello to the ducks. Along the way, we took a few photos of course!
When I photograph children and families, I find it most important to pay attention to the interactions they have with each other as well as their surroundings. Children experience the world in an unbiased way, and each new encounter is an adventure waiting to be had. I love capturing bits of that through the lens.
A few moments to share:

Spent a couple of minutes doing some headshots for Miss J, a rising star. One day I’ll see her name in lights, for sure! I can say I knew her when. A few shots I liked (just look at that smile!).

It’s time for me to start making friends in my new neighborhood! For the month of April, I would like to invite you to Be My Guest and book your portrait sessions for this spring season at half off, and enjoy a print credit to boot!  I’ve also put together the Spring Collection, a gathering of products available for purchase during the spring and summer months.  So please, send me an email and find out more about booking your Be My Guest session today!

My son gave me permission to photograph him for a few minutes this past weekend.  He was feelin’ soft since we’d been pretty sick all week I guess, because he rarely allows me to photograph him in a clean t-shirt with his hair done.  We talked Skippyjon Jones and Alice in Wonderland while hitting trees with sticks and seeing how far we could hurl our rocks into the nearby stream.  It was a perfectly fine afternoon.

A few photos I snagged along the way:

I love him so!

It was a warm and sunny day this past Saturday here in Atlanta, but not even the sun could outshine these two super stars!  I had an awesome time playing with Little Miss M and her Big Sister M!  In between playing, we took a few photos, of course.  They are the best of sisters– happy, full of life, and they love each other so!

Here’s a sneak for you, mom.  It was hard to only choose a few to blog! Can’t wait for you to see them all!
