Fall in Atlanta

November 23, 2010

A beautiful fall day, a beautiful family. “L” had a big smile for me and was a ball of constant energy– I got a workout in! My favorite kind of session. :) A sneak preview!

I had a great time photographing Will and Lindsey’s engagement session in Atlanta. We shot around their home in Cabbagetown and I LOVED it– so rich in color, texture, culture and history. I looked a bit like a tourist as they gave me the tour of their neighborhood, what with my mouth hanging open, my bug eyes taking it all in, and my camera in hand! It must have been 150 degrees outside, and we shot in full middle of the day sun– but they were SUCH good sports and up for anything! It was like spending the afternoon with friends. Can’t wait for their wedding this fall!

A few fun shots to share. :)

Bridal Portraits

I love shooting on location bridal portraits. They give a bride a chance to showcase her personality, her style, and her grace. It’s also a great time for a bride to have a bit of a dress rehearsal, getting used to being in her dress for an extended time, finalizing hair and makeup, and being photographed in a variety of ways, without time constraints. Photographs can be taken in a location that suits your personality and lifestyle– like a well decorated hotel lobby, an urban location, or a garden. Photographs can be displayed in a variety of ways. An enlargement on display at the wedding is classic, and if you have several favorites you can frame some smaller format prints (8×10′s, 5×7′s) at different places around your reception– like near the guest register or on tables used during cocktail hour. An album is a wonderful way to keep your memories in one place, so you can pull it out time and time again for years to come and remember the excitement surrounding the anticipation of your marriage.

Hello lovely blog readers!

I had SO much FUN with David and Erica shooting their engagement session, and they were up for anything– awesome!– and let me hang out with them for a few hours in Uptown Charlotte, NC last weekend. I have so many awesome images from the time we spent together, but here are just a few for now. Can’t wait to see you both again David and Erica, on your big day!

Spent a couple of minutes doing some headshots for Miss J, a rising star. One day I’ll see her name in lights, for sure! I can say I knew her when. A few shots I liked (just look at that smile!).

My son gave me permission to photograph him for a few minutes this past weekend.  He was feelin’ soft since we’d been pretty sick all week I guess, because he rarely allows me to photograph him in a clean t-shirt with his hair done.  We talked Skippyjon Jones and Alice in Wonderland while hitting trees with sticks and seeing how far we could hurl our rocks into the nearby stream.  It was a perfectly fine afternoon.

A few photos I snagged along the way:

I love him so!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a chilly winter afternoon exploring the Botanical Gardens at UNC Charlotte with Jennifer and Adrian for their engagement photographs.  I tried to play paparrazzi in the bushes at the start of their session, which was good for a laugh, and we spent a good deal of time stamping our feet and jumping around trying to keep warm– it was bone chilling cold outside!  You’d never know Jennifer and Adrian were cold, though, when they exchanged a private glance and stole intimate kisses– they were definitely warm and very into each other.  I love the love!!!

Here’s a collection of a few of my favorites from their session.  I can’t wait for their wedding in just under two weeks!

Engagement Couple

It was a warm and sunny day this past Saturday here in Atlanta, but not even the sun could outshine these two super stars!  I had an awesome time playing with Little Miss M and her Big Sister M!  In between playing, we took a few photos, of course.  They are the best of sisters– happy, full of life, and they love each other so!

Here’s a sneak for you, mom.  It was hard to only choose a few to blog! Can’t wait for you to see them all!

Had some great fun with little miss A at the park!  What you should know about this rising super star– she’s a straight A student, a girl scout, a good friend, and mark my words, she will be famous!  She definitely shines brighter than the sun.

A few fun shots from our time together!

It’s a new year, I’ve customized a new blog, and what better way to introduce it?  Newborn portraits, of course!  I had the pleasure of spending a bright and sunny morning photographing this beautiful little bundle of love.  She is amazing, and has the most captivating eyes and an intense little stare to go with them– very soulful, this little angel.  Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.
